What is Neem?

Neem is a tree native to India with all its parts (the fruit, flowers, seed, seed oil, and twigs) utilized to treat a plethora of different conditions and symptoms. Among its many names, it’s also known as Holy Tree, Arishta, and Margosa.

In Ayurveda, Neem is a powerful herb with many antimicrobials and antioxidants. It supports the skin, blood, hair, liver, immune system, digestion, and blood sugar. It’s also used as a pest repellant and natural birth control.

It is a very strong herb and pesticide, so it’s recommended to speak with a doctor before administering Neem to your child. Do not take Neem while pregnant.

In addition, when using the oil for the first time, place a few drops onto a patch of skin on the inner forearm. After 24 hours, check the area for any signs of reaction like discolorations, swelling, itching, or discomfort. If any of these symptoms are experienced, avoid using Neem.
